The actress is reportedly eyeing a role in the show after teen drama The OC was axed in the States.
A pal said: "She really misses being on a TV show.
"She liked having a job to report to every day."
A spokesman for London-born Mischa, 21, did not return calls.
A spokesperson for NBC, the network that produces ER, refused to comment.
The OC was cancelled in January due to falling ratings following Mischa's decision to quit the show.
The final episode of the series will air on February 22.
